Expensive for such cheap material It's a flimsy bit of plastic and such a high price tag. Expected way better from gopro. My media mod doesn't clasp properly after only 3 or 4 uses.

Durability of the mic connection is terrible I've had two of these now, and both of them have stopped working after a while; the first after about a year, and the second after using it only 4-5 times. The issue both times was the mic jack seemed to come loose inside the media mod, and once it did,...

a necessary accessory which can be improved I got the media mod when I got the hero 9 black. Since then I also used it with the hero 10 black and hero 12 black. It is only with the hero 12 black that it can be used with the front and back mics at the same time. Also, it used to make the GoPro free...

Battery swapping nightmare. Great housing allowing very decent voice recording when attached to a helmet by using the rear mic of the mod. Nevertheless having to remove the GoPro from the housing to change battery is a complete mess and the reason why I’m actually not using my GoPro12 any more on ...

Great while it's on but The media mod is a great addition with a great mic and I like that you can add the light. But when the battery runs out, i hate that I have to remove the whole thing to gain access to the battery or memory to swap them out.

Media Mod: the BEST for for my use... why? I bought external microphones, or lavalier microphone with wifi, nothing worked well, all kinds of compatibility problems! With MediaMode I solved all the problems, regarding the use in my case of use: 4.6m fishing boat, distance from the GoPro to me of 3...

Great for displaying footage with friends The only minor issue is with audio feedback. When connecting to the TV any time it is in record mode there is ringing. Also for some reason a 1.5 Amp plug is not enough to keep it from draining while in use.

Meh SoSo Nice concept but I originally bought this for the ability of the HDMI output to my TV. Unfortunately i could never get any of my slo-mo to show properly and the GoPro screen goes black once it is connected to an external device. So sent it back. Didn’t really review it past that.

Pretty useful I found the media mod more useful than I thought with getting better audio with using the built in microphone or using a microphone to plug into it. I found out that I could plug in an audio cable from a pa mixer and get good audio straight from the mixer in stead of the event pay th...

Great! When it works The GoPro Media Mod is a classic case of an accessory that's brilliant in theory but frustrating in practice. When it works, it's an absolute game changer, transforming the GoPro into a versatile vlogging and production camera with excellent external audio and HDMI output. The...
