I bought it brand new a couple days ago and work in a warehouse so I blast it to the max. Speaker is not waterproof. Fell in the water while playing music. Immediately stopped, has not worked since. Support is sending me info like it's a charging issue? I can hear water sloshing around inside the speaker when I shake it.

They are abusing their customers by not making newer generations backwards compatible because they just want more money. If i upgrade by purchasing a new speaker to have with all my other generation 4 i will have less sound because i then only will have one speaker and i will not be able to connect ...

I just bought this in a retail store and dang testing this thing out, the bass is insane, the treble and the mids are good too and through the app JBL portable you can change the EQ and that is very useful. Really recomend this.

The Charge 5 is pretty good, but I wanted a little more bass, I returned the Charge 5 and purchased the Extreme 3, WOW, what a great speaker ! I recommend this Extreme 3 very much !! The folks at Harmon are great !
