I don't normally complain about builds, but the engineering on the bow is substandard. There's a Reddit thread discussing this problem. It holds together just barely, after hours of rebuilding the section over and over. Then you have to connect the bow to the rest of the ship. Again, just barely any... I agree with a few other builders here that the bow design of this model is flawed.
This is a challenging model to build, and it is rated for 18+.
When completed - a very eye pleasing Lego set.
But the bow, did I mention the bow ?

The engineering behind this set is utter incompetence. I’ve built and rebuilt the bow 5 times and it falls apart every time.
I’ve never hated building a set more, I think I’ll take a break from buying more legos as a result.

I’ve waited for this set for quite awhile! Although not perfect it did not disappoint. I look at it complete and can’t help but remember certain lines spoken during the movie, even sometimes reciting them to myself! I am at my 3rd failed attempt at mounting the shark to the base. It does not easily fit as shown. Every attempt I make pieces fall off. This is the most disappointed I have been with a Lego product. I really wanted to like this set more than I did. Finished product is very cool and as a New Englander the boat fits in well. This was, however, the first set I've ever had to get out the dreaded super glue to get the front of the bow to stay attached - literally any amount of pressure and the whole...
